Discretionary Trust (ordinary and pedigree)
A discretionary trust, sometimes called a “family trust”, is generally a document conveying title to trust property to the trustee and setting out the purpose for which a trust has been formed, the rights and obligations of the trustee, of the trust's manager and of the trust's beneficiaries. The trust deed imparts the rules within which the trust must operate, dictates its investment guidelines and describes how benefits will accrue to the beneficiaries (such as unit holders) under the trust.
Unit Trusts (ordinary, fixed and non-geared)
A unit trust is a trust in which the trust property is divided into a number of defined shares called units. The beneficiaries subscribe for the units in much the same way as shareholders in a company subscribe for shares.

Stamping Service for NSW and Victoria
We can arrange to have the trust deeds stamped with the applicable stamp duty for a fee of $22 (price includes return envelope and GST) in addition to the applicable stamp duty:
- NSW: $500 plus $10 for each stamped counterpart
- VIC: $200
If you would like to take up the service, the executed deeds must be returned to us within 2 months of being executed. Executed deeds received after this time will be returned unstamped.
Payment for the stamping service, including the applicable stamp duty, is to be made to NTAA corporate at the time of placing your order for the trust.
